For those of you who don’t know – Michael Roud, who hails from New England, is a pretty big Patriots fan. Like all Pats fans, he celebrated a sweet victory Sunday night – but he was not in good company, as Seahawks fans surrounded him.

Let’s just say Michael looked exactly like this kid:

We know it was a close game. Patriots fans (and Tom Brady, yeesh) are enjoying yet another Super Bowl win, and Seahawks fans are mourning a great loss – but we can’t forget the other teams. These teams are made up of the millions of folks who know nothing about football teams or the game itself. Team Halftime Show and Team Commercials! Let’s talk about who won THAT smack down.

The commercials were witty but tame, and Chevy’s “fake TV glitch” commercial almost made us throw our TV’s out the window. There were cute puppies and violent old ladies – all very appropriate for the most expensive commercials of the year. Of course Katy Perry took things to a higher, weirder level with her extravagant, absurdist, polychromatic party romp. She rode in on a giant metallic lion made of shiny polygons and shared the stage with dancing sharks. Strange, yes. But would you expect any less? Has she ever stepped out in a ball gown? No.

And there you have it. Not sure how they’re going to top this for next year’s halftime show, but we expect great things. Not surprised the Pats took home another Super Bowl win, but we have mad respect for all that talent on the east coast!
