Academy Award nominated composer Matthias Weber is featured in this week’s MRP Spotlight!

Matthias has been composing and improvising since the age of 5 and attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music on a Fulbright Scholarship.
He has lived in Los Angeles for over 20 years working on both American and European productions. His work ranges from “League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” to “Pearl Harbor”, which make up only a tiny fraction of his impressive accomplishments.

Most recently Matthias’ work on “Das finstere Tal” (The Dark Valley) won a Deutscher Filmpreis (known as a “Lola”, the German equivalent of Oscar) for Best Original Score and is now nominated for an Academy Award in the category of Best Foreign Film!

Viel Glück (lots of luck) to Matthias as all those who worked on “Das finstere Tal”! Wir drüken Ihnen die Daumen! (We’re crossing our fingers for you!)
