MRP SPOTLIGHT: Matt Trbovich
This week, we’re featuring our client, actor Matt Trbovich!
Matt has enjoyed his time developing his acting career, and he’s currently developing some exciting new projects (stay tuned!). If there’s one casting director he would LOVE to read for, it’d be Laray Mayfield. His reasoning is because she’s worked with David Fincher for over 15 years and her casting choices are “impeccably serendipitous.” On this, he added:
“Rosamund Pike as Amazing Amy in GONE GIRL? Who else would have called that? And just all the way back to Fight Club, Panic Room and casting Vincent D’Onofrio (a HERO of mine) in The Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys-this woman is a genius. She also cast Carrie Coon as Ben Affleck’s sister in GONE GIRL, and Carrie, like me, is from Northeastern Ohio, so that was super cool to see.”
Most people would actually be surprised to learn that on a dare, Matt applied to, auditioned for, and got accepted into Julliard when he was 17 years old. However, he did not attend because he was a little too afraid of the subways. New York City still remains his all-time favorite city, though, for a multitude of reasons.
Currently, Matt’s Netflix obsession is the show Rectify – which he binged on for the first three seasons. He believes it to be a brilliantly subtle masterpiece!
His favorite quote is by the late, great Nelson Mandela:
“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”
