Actors always come to me or ask me if they need retouching or if we include retouching in our packages. They always seem to think that retouching is sooo important and that they can’t get good pictures without extensive retouching. Below are two pictures from our shoot today, with Vanessa Baden, that are not retouched.

Vanessa Baden is a very talented actress who starred in Keenan and Kel and Gullah Gullah Island. Retouching is not the end all be all of a good photoshoot or pictures. If the photographer knows what they are doing and the hair and makeup artist is good then often the pictures do not need to be retouched. Probably about half of the pictures on our website are not retouched. Remember, if you are getting retouching for headshots it must look and feel natural. Looking like you do in your headshots, except on your best and most glamourous day, is one of the most important elements of having a strong and effective headshot.
