MRPhoto: What made you decide to become an actor?

Lauren Nash: When I was a kid, I used to come home from the movies and want to be whatever the leading character played. Whether it was a spy, a scientist, or even a kick-ass babysitter. Then I realized, if I became the actor, I’d get to be all those things. It’s the one profession that let’s you live many lives.

MRPhoto: What types of roles do you usually play?

Lauren Nash: I play very opposite ends of the spectrum. It’s either the bookish assistant type or the loud, drunk party chick.

MRPhoto: How has having new headshots helped you?

Lauren Nash: Besides making my facebook page look way more awesome? Kidding. It has gotten me in way more offices and into way more important offices. If a casting director doesn’t know you, you have to have a solid headshot to make them want to get to know you.

MRPhoto: What was your favorite part of your shoot?

Lauren Nash: Favorite part? Probably the time we spent down on Abbot Kinney. We had too much fun bugging store owners by shooting on their property, with their permission of course. I honestly don’t think I can choose a favorite shot or a part of the shoot.

MRPhoto: What are your career goals this Pilot season?

Lauren Nash: To book a recurring character on a well-loved show.

MRPhoto: What are some steps you are going to take to make those goals a reality?

Lauren Nash: Obviously getting the right shots was the first step. I’ve also gotten new representation that believes in me as much as I believe in myself. Now it’s just staying consistently prepared for the “right place, right time” moment every actor dreams of. I’ll be working hard in class, frequenting workshops, staying in shape, and keeping my spirits up.
