YOUR MUST SEE NEW TV LIST THIS FALL
It’s the most wonderful time of the year… It’s Fall TV time! There are so many new gems to discover! But with limited time, we’re here to help you decide what shows are most worth your viewing wild! We give you, “Your Must See New TV List This Fall!” Enjoy one every day of the week!
“Masters of Sex” — C’mon, even the name alone is intriguing! This Showtime drama starring Lizzy Caplan and Michael Sheen follows the true story of a brilliant scientist named William Masters who has disconnected from his emotions, but found himself connecting to a forward-thinking single working mother. Together they embark upon pioneering scientific research in the field of human sexuality, and eventually take their work out of the office and into the bedroom.
“The Michael J. Fox Show” — We’ve watched the trailer to this 10 times already in the studio! Everything MJF touches turns to gold, so we’re sure this will too. In this comedy with a heart of gold, Michael plays a successful and loved news anchor who has put his career on hold after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s to stay at home with his family. But the show starts when he decides it’s time for him to get back to work. Work and home adventures in NYC follow to keep viewers wanting more of this perfectly imperfect family.
“Mom” — I admit I have a soft spot for Anna Faris. Her physical comedy sends me into fits of laughter. So I will definitely be tuning in to watch her play Christy, a single mother and recovering alcoholic who finds her four months of sobriety seriously tested by the unexpected return of her mother Bonnie (played by the fiercely talented Allison Janney). From Chuck Lorre of “Big Bang Theory” fame, this comedy will undoubtedly appeal to Americans across the country.
“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” — All of our friends tuned in before “New Girl” this Tuesday to watch Andy Samberg’s return to TV! He stars as cocky detective Jake Peralta who just can’t grow up. He plays along side his ambitious colleague Amy Santiago, driving her nutty. But it’s when the precinct gets a humor-challenged new captain that Jake really has to start reigning it in! Hilarity and mayhem follow.
“Almost Human” — We’ll watch anything from the producers of “Fringe!” In the future, John Kennex (Karl Urban), a cop who survived a catastrophic attack awakens from a 17-month coma to find he is now partnered with an android (Michael Ealy) whose line was discontinued due to unexpected emotional responses that were deemed flaws. We’re sure it will be full of futuristic drama, heart, and gut wrenching suspense, so it’s a must-see on Fox this November.
“The Blacklist” — This edgy, new NBC drama has critics buzzing. The pilot was so dark, some decided to look away. James Spader stars as Red Reddington, a former government agent with a past who partners up with a young FBI profiler to combat terrorism. Hearing about the action scenes and heart stopping story lines already has us hooked!
“Sleepy Hollow” — There was so much buzz surrounding the two leading characters of this show, Tom Mison as Ichabod Crane and Nicole Beharie as Abbie Mills, that we couldn’t wait to tune in to this show last week. Based on Washington Irving’s old classic tale, this show is an unexpected front runner this season. It’s intellectual, witty, and quite a wild ride! And yes, there is a Headless Horsemen, so die hard literature fans can rest easy.
