THE CHALLENGE OF THE LAST MINUTE AUDITION — PART ONE
Today I had one of those last minute auditions. My agent called me at 11am to be there by 1pm, Los Angeles last minute auditions. You know, the kind that you’re supposed to be grateful for — But if you are anything like me, the kind that just really stress you out.
The unpredictability of life as an actor is sometimes the hardest thing. More than the routine rejection, more than the painful dry spells, the perpetual unpredictability can often drive me nutty. I do yoga to practice being in the moment and going with the flow. But it’s certainly not something that comes easily to me. I work part time with LA head-shot photographer Michael Roud because he is flexible with my schedule. But it still drives me nuts to change my whole day’s plans last minute.
